This buzzy Soho hot spot is always heaving with a well-heeled set of sophisticats thanks to its flawless Italian cooking and laid-back atmosphere – a thoroughly good place to get sloshed. The lively living room feel fits well with the laid-back food, which can be ordered big or small and is perfect for sharing. The grilled fish and meats are done to perfection while the radish and celeriac salad with pecorino and truffle oil sings on your tongue. The only drawback is other people. The tightly-packed tables seem to play havoc with the service so be assertive. Reservations are de rigeur for large parties, though couples can sometimes get lucky with space at the long and brightly-lit marble bar at the front of the restaurant. Nip across the street after for granitas and gelati at ice cream-serving offshoot, Gelupo. We always has room for the mind-blowingly good blood orange granita.
